More about Learnerships

We deliver learnerships in the Western and Eastern Cape, Kwazulu-Natal, Gauteng, and any location in South Africa. A learnership is a government-funded programme that supports vocational and employment-oriented learning. Learners obtain a qualification and gain work experience in the workplace on a learnership.

Companies implement learnership for either unemployed recruits or employed staff. The learnership assists candidates in improving their skills and knowledge while they work. For recruits, learnerships provide valuable work experience while they work to achieve a formal qualification. However, 50% of all candidates exiting the schooling system never experience further education and training—and learnerships provide a valuable and effective means to overcome this challenge.

Benefits

Businesses who use learnership interventions to upskill, reskill and train their employees enjoy the following benefits of this type of intervention.

Lowering recruitment costs

Excellent Tax incentives

Helps in training costs

Improves staff retention
